Typically, the initial appointment will take approximately an hour and a half, although the patient should arrive 15 minutes early to fill out the necessary paperwork. For your convenience, you can download the new patient forms and fill them out prior to arriving at your appointment. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition. Additionally, please bring copies of your latest laboratory and imaging reports if applicable. The purpose of the initial visit is to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.

During the course of the appointment, Dr. Jackie Casab will thoroughly review your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. After the consultation, standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed followed by a spinal examination. To learn more about how the spine and nerves affect the body check out the interactive 3D spine.

Note: We do not perform X-rays in our office and they are only ordered when warranted. If any imaging or diagnostic tests are necessary, we will refer you to an outside facility.

Once all of the pertinent information has been gathered and assessed Dr. Jackie Casab will review the findings and treatment process going forward with you and answer any questions that you may have. If Dr. Jackie Casab feels that a referral to another practitioner would be beneficial, she will address it at this time.

At the conclusion of this initial appointment, you may choose to experience your first treatment. This may include spinal and extremity adjustments, physical therapy, and/or soft tissue work. Treatment is interactive, so you can express concerns about the different styles of treatment at any time and nothing will be done in our office without your consent.

The first follow-up appointment will be scheduled at the end of the appointment and should take no longer than 20-30 minutes.
